4.4 Restrictions

This section describes limitations and restrictions on the use of this

module.

4.4.1 Rack Slot Location

This module cannot be used in a Remote I/O rack. A processor must

be present in the same rack as the module. The module may not be

used in slots 0 or 1 in a DCS 5000 rack.

If a microĆregulator is used in a DCS 5000/AutoMax rack, this module

may not occupy any slot within a group of slots reserved for the

microĆregulator. The two groups of slots reserved for the

microregulator are slots 5Ć8 and 11Ć14.

4.4.2 Reading and Writing Data

Data on the module can only be read or written as bytes. Location

(M+3) is read only and may not be written to by application software.
