2. Connect the cable to the serial port on the DriveLogix Controller.

Install the front and side covers on the drive in reverse order as detailed in

Step 2: Removing the Covers from the Control Assembly

on page 4.

ATTENTION: If you connect or disconnect the serial cable

from the DriveLogix Controller with power applied to the

module or a connected serial device, an electrical arc can occur.

This could cause an explosion in hazardous location installations.

Verify that power is removed from the drive and module or that

the area is non-hazardous before proceeding.

TIP: Remember to route the cable through the sliding access panel at the

bottom of the Control assembly.
